Richard Beck Appointed as President of Niber Technologies

Niber Technologies has announced the appointment of Dr. Richard Beck as President of Niber Technologies. Dr. Beck also retains the role of Chief Strategy Officer, which he has held for over a year. This appointment marks a significant step in the company’s evolution within the global waterproof breathable (WB) and technical textiles industry.
Dr. Beck is a materials engineer and industry executive with over 25 years of experience in functional membranes and performance textiles. Most notably, he previously served in senior leadership roles at W. L. Gore & Associates, where he led the GORE-TEX business across Asia-Pacific overseeing strategy, customer partnerships, product development and regional growth.
In his new role, Dr. Beck will lead Niber Technologies’ fabrics business serving global brands, mills, and converters in the WB market while also defining corporate and product strategy, supporting technology to market solutions.
“Richard’s appointment represents a clear inflection point for Niber,” said Jaemin Park and Jaehyung Park, Co-Founders of Niber Technologies. “Richard brings a wealth of expertise to developing product strategy, understanding product application, and how to best influence the apparel value chain to grow our business. His leadership will help us build smarter strategies and market leading technologies that enable our partners to win in an increasingly demanding market.”
Niber Technologies’ electrospinning platform enables ultra-breathable, lightweight, and PFAS-free membranes, offering a differentiated foundation for next-generation laminate systems focused on comfort and performance.
“What initially drew my attention to Niber was the company’s expertise and experience in electrospinning technology, the exceptional membranes they have developed, and the founders’ clearly defined ambition and strategic investment plan aimed at establishing a market-leading technology and business,” stated Dr. Beck.
“Electrospinning has long been viewed as a future-defining technology in WB and is fast gaining traction as the preferred next generation technology. Niber is exceedingly well positioned to translate that potential into commercially relevant solutions that better serve customers and end users.”
Dr Beck’s appointment underscores Niber Technologies’ commitment to leveraging industry expertise, disciplined execution, and long-term partnership with customers as the company scales its presence in technical textile and apparel markets.
